"Hard work beats talent, when talent refuses to work hard" "I believe it is extremely important to train young athletes to use the proper fundamentals at a young age that are going to help them be successful in the future. It also important at the 11s and 12s age group that have fun, and continue their passion and love for the game as they grow in the game."
About Josh :
Josh is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Tx where he received his bachelors of science degree with a minor in secondary education and Biology. This will be Josh's 9th year coaching in the 11/12s age group, and he is very excited to start his 5th year with Skyline. Josh spent 3 years coaching for Victory Volleyball Club in Plano, Tx. In 2011 Josh was the assistant for Victory 12 Elite Black who finished as a top 5 team in the North Texas Region and finished 2nd in 12 American at nationals in Atlanta, Ga. In 2014 his 11 Roshambo team won the USAV 11 Patriot National Championship. In 2015 his 11 Royal team finished with the silver medal at nationals. In 2016 his 11 Royal team won the bronze medal and 2017 his 11 Royal won the PNQ and his 11 Royal team won the bronze medalist in 12 American. In 2013 Josh was the head for Victory 11 Elite Black. In 2013 his 11's won the 11's division at the Lone Star National Qualifier and finished 5th at USAV Junior Nationals in Dallas, Tx. He also assisted with the top 12's in 2013 who finished 5th place in 12 American. Josh currently teaches Forensics at Bonham High School where he is also the head volleyball coach.

"Teaching fundamentals and using repetition are two tools I use to prepare players to be the best they can be. The key to success is motivating players to do their best and improve each and every day. By encouraging my players to work towards both individual and team goals I hope they learn to love the game that means so much to me. The desire to be a better person each and every day is what keeps me in the gym."
About Courtney:
While at Skyline over the past 10 years Courtney has coached teams in the 15’s, 13’s, 12’s, and 11's age groups. In 2014, 11 Royal won the USAV National Championship in Minnesota and in 2015 11 Royal won a silver medal in New Orleans. In 2016, 11 Royal earned a bronze medal in Indianapolis. In 2017, 11 Royal won the Northeast Qualifier in Spokane earning a Nationals bid in 12 American where the team took a bronze medal. Courtney played defensive specialist at Texas Tech University from 1993-1997 where she earned All Millennium Honors. Courtney currently serves as the 8th Grade Volleyball and Basketball Coach at Prestonwood Christian Academy, a position she has held for 8 years. Courtney has been coaching club in the Metroplex for 15 plus years. This will be Courtney's 11th year at Skyline.

Coaching Philosophy:
I believe hard work, dedication, and a positive attitude, can overcome any obstacle a player can face. It is my goal to turn these “players” into “athletes”. To teach them how to love the game of volleyball as much as I do by using my experience as both a player and coach. No matter the outcome, the passion to achieve great things will always lead to success.
About Jenny:
Keeping with the family tradition, Jenny has been playing and coaching volleyball for close to 20 years. She grew up playing in PSA leagues through high school at Plano Senior High School and club in college. She is a Skyline Juniors former player and has been coaching for over 11 years and enjoys every season. Jenny has assisted 4 National Black teams, qualifying all for Junior Nationals. This will be her 6th season with Skyline. Currently she is working as a legal assistant for a Family Law firm in Frisco.

Progress, not perfection. My goal coaching is to have the girls constantly work hard to consistently improve. I truly believe communication and a strong work ethic is necessary in volleyball. I want to provide the girls the skills and abilities they need in order to play smarter volleyball.
About Casie :
Casie has been playing volleyball since she was in 3rd grade. She played on varsity in high school and played club volleyball from 12s to 18s. Her club team, North Dallas Juniors, finished in the top 100 at Nationals. Since then, she has continued playing in recreational indoor volleyball leagues and sand volleyball leagues. Her family has always been very involved in volleyball which is what originally got her into the sport, but she has a love for the game which has kept her involved and inspired her to coach. Last year was her first full year with Skyline. She coached Summer League, Fall League, and was the Assistant Coach for 12 Molten Royal. She is looking forward to coaching with Skyline again and working on developing the girls fundamentals as well as their love of the game.

"I am a true believer that endurance and hard work are the most important keys to being the best team out there. Defense is the second. Defense, endurance, and hard work win games. I want to provide athletes with the keys to success not only on the court, but off as well. All the while never forgetting to have fun along the way."
About Jennifer :
This is Jen’s ninth year coaching with Skyline. She is from Rockwall, Texas where she played 3 years Varsity, graduating in 2005. She played club for Skyline Juniors for 5 years and went on to continue playing at Hardin- Simmons University as a defensive specialist and hitter. While there, her team went to the conference championships for the first time in the school's history and won conference for the first time in 2006. While at HSU, Jen was the head coach of the developmental team (ages 8-11) and the assistant to the 14's team for West Texas Heat Volleyball Club. Jen graduated with a B.F.A. in Graphic Design from HSU.
